WRITING EXCERPTS
From the Poem - "Sleep"
An awesome foe I warrant thee,
A foe that many never see,
Who creeps up softly to your bed,
And bids you linger 'til you're dead.

From the Poem - "Like Children
How dear and precious is a child to me,
A lesson for this 'oft proud heart to learn,
Of beauty that is simple-trusting-free,
O'er which a multitude of people yearn.
We wish that for an hour we could regain,
The wonder and the joy that childhood knows,
Forgetting all our failure and the pain,
Yet, in our hearts a frosty coldness grows.
Then from the shadows of our life we hear,
A message clear and simple to our mind,
Of childlike faith in him who is so dear,
Who died a cruel death for all mankind.
With tears we come before him.......

From the Poem - "Jonah a Whale of a Tale"
I want to tell you a whale of a tale,
'Bout Jonah a prophet of God,
Who jumped on a boat and then set sail,
Away from the path he had trod.
It seems God had a task to be done,
So he called old Jonah to do it......
Down into the deep old Jonah did sink,
But God, in his love, had a plan......
Now Jonah was angry and told God so,
He didn't want them to live........

From the Poem - "It's A Privilege"
It's a privilege,
As you watch a baby come,
In the operating room,
From a pregnant mother's womb,
What a privilege!
It's a privilege.......

The articles and poetry contained on the writing samples pages are just a small part of this
154 page book which includes the author's personal testimony of his own deliverance from a wicked life that nearly ended in taking his own life because he believed there was no reason
to live. It is with the deepest thanksgiving to a wonderful and merciful God that he failed in
this effort and found the wonderful hope that is in Christ alone! It is the most sincere hope of this author that the Lord will use this work to draw men to salvation and a close walk with him.
This life is but for a moment and then eternity begins! The wise will take note and prepare!
From the Poem - "O' Mighty God"
O' Mighty God from age to age,
Eternally the same,
In vain the heathen 'gainst thee rage,
And curse thy holy name.
What horrid thought to turn away,
From you who loved so well......
