VIDEO REVIEWS
THE PURPOSE OF THIS PAGE
I firmly believe what we are taught must line up with what the Bible teaches. It is our individual responsibility to examine what comes our way in the light of the scriptures
and make judgments one way or the other. I highly recommend that any person who
comes to any page on this web site, including this one, search the Bible for themselves
concerning what is taught here to be sure that it aligns with what the Bible teaches.
You may feel free to agree or disagree as you wish. I believe we are all free to accept
or reject as truth anything we wish, however, along with that freedom comes what the
Word of God describes as accountability and responsibility for our beliefs, thoughts,
actions and what we say. This page discusses the content of various videos that I have
found on the internet and whether they line up with God's Word or not. Some of the
content may be offensive to you. Well, it is highly probable that it offends God too.
What does the Bible say about the videos below?
Can we be what we want to be and serve Christ?
This video is all about Jerry being himself! He wants to
hang on to his old life and the way he speaks and still be
a Christian. This flies directly in the face of the scripture
found in II Cor. 5:17. Jerry goes on to say that 90% of us
use the "F" word every day. He could be right on since
surveys show that only about 5% of the people living in
America attend any kind of religious service. With the consideration that some people who never attend religious services never use the "F" word
his assessment could be accurate. Something else that Jerry and Pam need to understand
is that God commands us to be "holy." Even those who know nothing about that command
and care little to nothing about what God thinks about anything know that people who love
God don't curse, and the "F" word is understood throughout our society to be a curse word.
Hebrews 12:14 is a scripture dealing with holiness that affects Christian and non-Christians.
Notice that Jerry's ideas about Jesus are absolutely unscriptural. Jerry claims to be a
Christ follower since 1972 or 30 years at the time this video was made, and yet he thinks that
Jesus uses cursing when talking with him. Cursing is a sin and Jesus is without sin according
to II Cor. 5:21 so Jerry is deceived on this point as well. In addition, Jerry says that the Lord
projects himself to him as a friend, not as a God or a Master. The Bible has something very
definite to say about those claims in Matthew 1:23, John 1:1, I Tim. 3:16, Matthew 23:8 and 10,
John 13:13 (Master and Lord), and John 15:14 (contingent on our obedience). Pam is Jerry's
wife who is more outgoing and outspoken than he is.
I am not sure why this video was done, but Jerry and Pam need to understand that when a
person comes to Christ they are no longer in charge. I Corinthians 6:19-20

The theory of religious hijacking - whatever that may be! This video begins with an incredible assumption put forth by
a person who is either incredibly uneducated in what each
religion teaches or willfully blinded by his own prejudices
toward religion and Christianity for whatever reason. The
speaker begins by implying that religion has invented the
concept of an afterlife and then he declares that this life is
the only real life we have. While he in all likelihood would
want proof that these things exist, he clearly cannot prove
that they don't. After all, it is a matter of faith both ways. The Bible makes it abundantly clear that
life does exist beyond the grave. Hebrews 9:27, John 3:15-16 and 36, John 6:47 Romans 6:23,
and Galatians 6:8 among others declare this truth. He next assumes that the concept of eternal
life undervalues this life. Quite the contrary is true. This life is a preparation for everlasting life, and
is very important! It is our thoughts, words and actions that prepare us to be joyously in God's
presence forever or suffering from a separation from God forever. While Christians believe with
all their heart that this world is not their home Hebrews 11:13-16, they also believe that they are
here for a definite purpose, and that all life is valuable both in time and in eternity. To them life is
precious in all its aspects. They also believe that the eternal and spiritual aspects of life exceed the
temporal because one is for a space in time and one is unending.
The author goes on to insult all religions by stating that the people involved in religion don't have
the basic skills to make this world a better place. Perhaps he has never met a Christian doctor,
scientist, professor, contractor, auto maker, watchmaker, and etc. If this is the case, he obviously
has cloistered himself in his own little world and rarely, if ever, ventures out. God has given to all
men and women various talents and abilities irrespective of whether they are religious or not. To
think otherwise is foolish and without warrant of any kind. He further pronounces that religious
people go on with variations of self-harm. I am not sure where he is gathering that information
from but as a Christian I believe that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and it is my very
important responsibility to do what I can to protect and strengthen it. I Cor. 6:19-20
He continues his rant saying that religious teaching about the after-life is contradictory and often
self-contradictory. Here he is correct in part at least. Not all religions believe life beyond this
life exists or exists on the same plane or in the same place or in the same manner. I don't want to
go into a study of world religions so I will give one comparison that is self-explanatory and simple
enough for most people to understand. Reincarnation (a concept of Eastern religions) teaches that
we keep coming back in a different form while Christianity teaches that death is the end of life on
earth and then eternity begins for everyone as shown in the scriptures on eternity above. From
Genesis to Revelation in the Bible there is no contradiction or self-contradiction concerning this.
The speaker then asks, "Sitting next to Jesus for eternity - what's the point." This question shows
extreme spiritual ignorance! To think that the God who created us and gave us creative power in
this short span of time living on earth will not be even more creative in eternity is shortsighted and
unworthy of intelligent consideration. One verse alone dispels this notion. I Corinthians 2:9 takes
the starch out of this argument leaving us to exercise our imagination to the breaking point when it
comes to what God will have us doing throughout eternity. I can assure you that it won't be just
sitting around next to Jesus! The God who dwells in eternity has never been bored, and he never
will be bored or boring. I believe that since he is perfect and infinite his ideas will be the same.
As an infinite being he most certainly must have infinite possibilities since he has no limits!
I will not comment on the rest of the video except to say that this man is spiritually dead in sin and
trespasses, and fills up I Corinthians 2:14 proving once again that God knows and understands the
human heart and mindset. The rest of the video I leave to those who love a good challenge. Take
time to listen to what is said if you are religious or Christian and do some research on your own to
help you along your way from time into eternity. It will be a good and profitable exercise and can
serve to firm up what you believe and strengthen or disprove what you believe. If it disproves the
things you believe then perhaps your faith is misdirected and you should find something else in the
spiritual realm that is both satisfying and brings assurance to your soul.
Jose-Luis DeJesus Miranda (Jesus or False Messiah)
This video is about a Puerto Rican man who claims he is
the second coming of Christ, the Christ man and also the
Anti-Christ, which he says means the New Christ or the
second coming of Christ. He is fully persuaded that he is
Jesus and has been able to persuade his followers that he
is as well. I believe there are several things that cause big
problems for this person and I will start with his personal
life and then continue examining what he teaches and how
it violates scripture in many ways. He is one of those Christ prophesied would come claiming to
be Christ and deceiving many. The referenced warning of Jesus is found in Matthew 24:4-5.
Jose is a 60 year old ex-heroin addict and convict who is divorced with 4 children and has since
remarried another woman. Anyone who has ever been in the drug culture as I have been knows
it is a life filled with self-centered living and every sort of wickedness including adultery, cursing,
and hatred against the establishment. Jesus was sinless and never had sex with anyone let alone
entered into adultery. As God it is impossible for Jesus to sin because a perfect being cannot sin.
Jesus arrest and beating and crucifixion was for doing good, and even the thief crucified beside
him and Pilate himself said; "This man has done nothing worthy of death." Jose doesn't match up
on this issue.
Jose further claims that he has done greater things than Jesus did, and yet he has not healed the
sick, raised the dead, cast out demons, or walked on water and has done no miracles at all.....
Here again Jose has failed to live up to his billing. He started a church and nothing else...
Jose receives lavish gifts from members of his church and says he is just like Jesus in this regard.
He forgets that the only gifts Christ received were as a baby from the sages who followed a star
prophesied long before his birth. He uses the anointing of Jesus' feet by a repentant prostitute as
excuse for his extravagance. That anointing according to scripture was to anoint his body for the
burial - not for his consumption on pleasure or materialistic gain - see Mark 14:8.
His other claims can be easily refuted from scripture as well. For instance, the anti-Christ was
called the "man of sin," - II Thess. 2:3 - and Jose said he doesn't believe sin exists but he claims
he is the anti-Christ. He claims that Christ will not come in the clouds of glory but rather that he
has come by living in him (something like the devil entering into the anti-Christ as clearly revealed
in scripture). Jose should read and understand Revelation 1:7 and Revelation 19:11-16. Jose is
also deceived in believing the devil is destroyed and that no matter how you live you will still be
accepted by God after you die. Revelation tells us that the devil will be cast into a bottomless
pit and later released for a season and finally suffer forever according to Revelation 20:10. Jose
is found to be deceived once again. Another suspicious thing about Jose is that he has chosen
to surround himself with security guards that rival government officials. When Christ returns he
will come with power and majesty that nobody will be able to withstand. He will not need any
security guards or any help from anyone. The whole earth will tremble before him in fear of the
coming judgment knowing they have rejectd him and his sacrifice for them. Jose doesn't qualify.
Jose also has his followers and himself get tattooed with 666 the number of the anti-Chist which
is absurd considering that even an elementary study of scripture is understood by scholars and
many who are not scholars shows the anti-Christ to be at war with God's people and finally to
be vanquished by Christ himself. One this issue I leave the reader to do his or her own research.
Every time this man opens his mouth he condemns himself more and more, but worse than that
he leads others into deception and eternal misery if they don't come out from under his spell.....
